A Day to Regenerate

Jean Pullen - Regenerate Your Reality 12:00p-12:30p

Jean Pullen is a multi-talented artist, gardener, cook, musician, best selling book writer, and entrepreneur. Jean is the founder of Regenerate Your Reality, partner at Jungle Project and a Soil Advocate at Kiss the Ground.
In her past life, Jean worked in corporate finance, changing jobs every few years, but she never really felt satisfied. She has always questioned the status quo; her passion for truth and environmentalism led her to dismantle her life and begin a journey of self-exploration, changing her inner world and regenerating her reality.

She redesigned her lifestyle, focusing on living simply, learning, unlearning, and eventually teaching. In her travels to Europe, Mexico, and Central America over the past seven years, Jean has had the opportunity to co-create, volunteer with, and visit various permaculture projects.
“I have come to love a life where we grow our own fruit, where life is the ceremony, where we plant seeds each cycle, swim at the beach, practice yoga, and create. Where most days are the best day ever."
— Jean Pullen, Regenerate Your Reality

Her journeys and accumulated lessons led her to write her memoir and guide to regenerative living, a blueprint for anyone seeking to regenerate their reality, too. Jean believes we can be part of the solution to the climate crisis, and that we all can play our part by living regeneration and coming back to our essence of love.

Seed Sharing 12:30p-1:00p

Bring seeds, cuttings of plants, seedlings, or baby trees to exchange and propagate into your gardens.

Why Seeds?
Through the preservation of seeds—planting them on our lands and storing them in seed banks—we can exchange seeds, plant seeds, and bring back some of the biodiversity and vitality we have lost. Seeds are the foundation of all existence. As guardians of the land, we are seeds of change, regeneration, and love.

Seeds represent the foundations restoreor building blocks of life. Just as many of us have lost our connection to ourselves and nature, seeds have been lost too. 93 percent of native and criolla seeds were lost between 1903 and 1993. It is believed that we have lost over 75 percent of Earth’s forests due to deforestation and human activity

Regenerate Your Reality uses permaculture, agroforestry, and education to bring sovereignty and happiness to our communities. ⁣It is our mission to the relationship between humans and the earth and build a regenerative present. We’re so glad you’re sharing this mission with us!

Mary Colmar - Ethical Fashion 1:45p-2:00p

Mary Colmar, creator of Salad Bowl Dress, a lifestyle brand, focusing on deconstructing clothing and home goods from recycled textiles. As a Technical Designer/Patternmaker in the fashion industry on both coasts she  wanted to create a sustainable business of customizable deconstructed clothing. The name Salad Bowl implies a melting pot and hodgepodge at the same time and Dress is what we put on. Get Your Dressing On!

SBD clothing is made for “everyday travel” with many pockets and features to help keep us organized without a big bag over our shoulder. The utilitarian clothing is ideal for creatives, gardeners, and teachers. The tailored and customizable service we offer sets us apart as well. We can use any sentimental clothing in a variety of silhouettes we offer.

“Mary helped me turn all my long dresses into very cute artsy two piece tops and skirts that I love”

“ I love the versatility and flattering silhouette of my vest that I plan to wear all the time”

“The pieces are like an added layer to throw on anytime I want to look cute and need functionality since my tablet fits nicely in a pocket, along with my ear buds, and glasses.”

“Casual and cute”

Mary has judged artwear for the Fashionista portion or the Orange County Fair steam exhibit for many years. She has participated in many Sustainable Living themed events and exhibited in textile art, and fashion shows.

As a Remake ambassador Mary advocates for a more ethical fashion wearing experience through education and her product.

Salad Bowl Dress has been featured in many local publications advocating for fashion industry legislation to make a more humane product.
