Nourishing Our Garden & The Earth

We created this book so that all people of all ages can learn together about the allies and friends we have around us and how we can collaborate with them. Our mission is to gift this book to rural and marginal schools and farming families.

We hope these words will transform into gardens, bring harmony, and help regenerate our communities.

SUMMARY

How might our world be different if we had all learned to grow food and discovered the importance of nourishing our garden as kids? Is it possible to transform our world and regenerate our reality by inspiring the youngest among us?

We say yes! And, we want you to join us in this mission by supporting the first edition of a beautifully illustrated children’s book with a compelling message. We aim to educate and inspire children (and the young at heart!) about the importance of food sovereignty, biodiverse organic agriculture, seed saving and the cycles of growth for healthy people and a healthy planet. This book is for you, for the next generation, for generations to come, and for all life!

Co-authors Lala and Jean are passionate about connecting to the natural world; through their work, they seek to restore the relationship between humans and the earth in order to build a lifestyle that supports regeneration.

Nourishing Our Garden & the Earth is available as a bilingual first edition (English & Spanish). To spread the message around the world, we hope to translate the story to more languages in future editions, too! Order your copy of this beautiful book today, and share this book & project to help bring the story of a thriving planet to more children in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and around the world! Books are shipped through Amazon, or locally distributed at central locations in Guatemala and Costa Rica.

IMPACT

We have reached 425 students in Costa Rica & Guatemala schools — where we read the children’s book and planted a small medicinal garden.

We have gift over 133 copies to local schools, children and libraries! Thanks for your continued support!

Most proceeds from book sales and donations will be channeled to support its work in providing learning, mentoring, and knowledge sharing opportunities as well as developing a variety of action-oriented tools and methods for young people to design and implement interventions in communities, including small-scale permaculture action days with book readings, community gardening, and lessons about soil building and seed saving.

We also have the option to fund a school! This supports Jean & Lala's mission share the gift of regeneration. (5 books, ebook, 30 medicinal plants, compost, soil & 3 hours of Jean or Lala's time at 1 school)
